How to not get lost in the packing madness?

Who among us has not dreamt of a sunny vacation, where our only companion is the sun
and the sound of the warm, salty sea? Or maybe you’d rather spend time with your friends playing beach volleyball? Anyway, after returning from vacation in Greece, one thing is for
certain, everyone will envy your beautiful tan. The most convenient and the fastest way to
travel to Greece is by plane. It may seem scary to many, but we are here to reassure you
and show you that flying is not as much of a challenge as it seems. Below you will find some
tips on how to prepare for the flight and be able to go on a full-chill trip.

CHEAP and CONVENIENT – how to buy tickets?

• Buy tickets in advance – as a rule, tickets are cheapest 3 weeks before the scheduled
departure.
• Ticket prices are usually lower in the middle of the week, they are the cheapest on Tuesday
evenings or Wednesdays.
• Avoid departures during Greek holidays, flights are more expensive.
• When booking, make sure there are no hidden fees.

LUGGAGE – What should you bring to Greece?

It is best to fly with hand luggage, because this way we will avoid the additional fee. It is not difficult to pack into a small suitcase, here are some tips on what should definitely be found in a suitcase: First of all, make sure that the documents you take with you are valid, as probably none of us would like to be detained minutes before the flight.

Clothes

Dear ladies, you do not need to pack the entire wardrobe, just a few sets of clothes in which
you feel both beautiful and comfortable. For the gentlemen – the rules are the same. You
should definitely pack light and airy clothes, that is:
• Shorts
• Dresses
• T-shirts – with shoulder straps and short sleeves
• Shirts – breathable
• Shoes – preferably two pairs of comfortable shoes and sandals or flip-flops

Essentials – you must not forget!

Other necessary items are as follows sunscreen, as we would probably like to come back
from vacation not scorched-red, but nicely tanned, sunglasses, a hat, towels – both for
everyday use and for the beach. Let’s not forget about the insect spray to be able to enjoy
our vacation to the fullest. At our discretion, we can also take electronics with us – our
inseparable friend – a smartphone or maybe a laptop. In this situation, we also recommend
packing a powerbank.

First aid kit – in the event of an accident.

Another chapter from the category named “do not forget”. Every self-respecting traveler
knows that you can’t predict everything, but you can try. Antipyretic drugs, painkillers, basic
wound dressings – disinfectants, plasters or bandages. However, personal medications are
the most important.

Makeup bag – the less the better

The best solution is to take mini-packaging cosmetics, which we will use fully during the trip
and throw away the packaging. The full-size toiletry bag weighs a little, and we try to cover the excess luggage, as such we take as little as possible. Remember about the shower gel,
shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush and comb.

TRANSPORT TO THE HOTEL

Instead of a taxi, we advise you to choose public transport – trams, buses, trains. This will allow you to save a considerable amount of money, instead of paying 20 euros, you will pay 100 times less. Most Greeks speak English with ease, so communication problems will not arise.
