WINE FRUIT

Wine fruit

A timeless and frequently consumed beverage is wine. Wine is the product obtained from the fermentation of grapes. We distinguish between white, red and rosé wines. The variety of wines is due to their varieties and production techniques. Interestingly, wine has been produced for 4000 years. During today’s visit to the winery we had the opportunity to observe the production of wine, as well as its storage or detailing. The whole recipe of wine production is passed down from generation to generation.
In this article you will find out how the wine is made and what our feelings were during our visit to the winery.

Wine production

Initially, the first harvest of grapes starts in November and goes to the winery. The harvested grape is put into a container where it is separated from the stalks. In this way, the fruit is deliberately damaged and under the influence of the press, the juice is squeezed out of it. The stones are then removed in large steel containers and the juice remains separated. Depending on the type of wine, different additives are added, for example in the case of white wine it is yeast. During this process the wine begins to undergo alcoholic fermentation. It is worth mentioning that different types of wine require different temperatures – white wine between 20 and 25 degrees, while red wine between 30 and 35 degrees. After one month, the actual wine production begins. Before bottling the wine, the resulting

wine have to be filtered. It is then poured into hand-cleaned bottles. Once the bottle is filled, it is capped with a special press. Finally, a plastic protective film is applied, which is fitted to the bottle under the influence of heat in a heat sealing machine. This completes the winemaking process.

Our opinion

The wine is mainly served with a plate of delicacies such as feta cheese and grapes. The whole stay at the winery left a great impression and a baggage of wonderful experiences. This winery is one of the most famous production companies, as they do all their work by hand and care about their customers.
